Debjani Mazumder has been a senior publishing professional working with a number of distinguished international publishers. At Cambridge University Press – New Delhi, she managed the Academic and Higher Education publishing programme along with the sales and marketing functions. Prior to that, in Pearson, she was the publishing head of HSS (Humanities and Social Sciences), and the business head of the ELT vertical (English Language Teaching). She has also worked in Sage, Orient Blackswan and Tulika Books.
Additionally, Debjani has created learning material for formal and non-formal education, and teaching manuals and aids for the non-profit sector. She has edited a CBSE school book series Social Sciences Now for classes I to VIII.
Before shifting to the publishing industry, Debjani has taught History at Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya of the University of Calcutta, Kolkata for more than 10 years.
